They blew this shit up
Taken as spoils of war, the Prinz Eugen was towed to Bimini Atoll and “participated” in a nuclear test. IOW, they blew this shit up. Tried to anyway. Those Germans build a tough ship.

Here it is, 2022 and this old gal is still around.
